Can all stains be removed?
We cannot guarantee every single stain will be removed, but we can guarantee to achieve the best possible result without causing damage. There are many different challenges depending on fabric and trims. Some materials like silk need a very delicate clean and other materials can stand a more vigorous clean.
Insurance
All dresses are covered by insurance. We are members of the UKFT (UK Fashion and Textile Association) and we abide by the rules laid down by them and Trading Standards.
All dresses are insured for loss or damage according to the guidelines laid down by the Office of Fair Trading & UKFT.
Can you clean all dresses?
It is very rare that we cannot clean a dress. We can clean dresses labelled Dry Clean Only and Do Not Dry Clean. Even labels that say clean only by a particular brand of cleaning are not a problem.
Why a storage box?
You need to store your dress in a special box for long term preservation. Our beautiful boxes are British made to a very high standard. They are made with acid free card and layered with acid free tissue – they really are something to be treasured.
How should I package my dress ready for collection?
You need to put your dress inside your dress bag (if you have one ) and then pack into a cardboard box. Please fill in your contact details and place inside the box so that you can be identified. Seal the box securely and attach our address to the front. If you placed an order via our website you will receive an email with address labels to include with your package.
Our parcel company DPD Local offer a 1 hour notification TEXT and email on next day collection and delivery service, Monday-Friday.
When do I pay?
When we have cleaned your dress we will telephone you for payment. You can pay by debit or credit card or by BACS.
How does your repair service work?
Please fill in the box on the order form stating what repairs you require. When we have received your dress we will inspect it and quote accordingly.
Can you clean shoes?
We can clean shoes. Sometimes all the stains do not come out completely but they should be considerably better. All shoes are cleaned at owners risk.
How long does the cleaning and repair service take?
We like 2 – 3 weeks to clean the dresses. If repairs are required then this may add 1 more week to the timescale.
Wedding dresses are designed to be one off special occasion garments. Due to the very delicate nature of the design – beads, buttons and trim can occasionally be loosened and detached during wearing and the cleaning process.
We take the utmost care in cleaning all our dresses to minimalise this occurring.
